The NetWifiMicroSD  expansion board sits on the Verdex motherboard on the 120-pin connector on the opposite side of the GPSStix? board.

The board provides a few major features as its name implies: Wifi, a MicroSD card slot for extra storage, and a hard-wired ethernet adapter for network connectivity.

Wifi

Wifi has become invaluable for connecting wirelessly to the robot.

MicroSD Card Expansion

We were able to pick up a 2 GB MicroSD card from the local Mega Electronics Retailer for around $35, increasing our on-board storage space by 128 times. If you are using a buildroot version of 1559 or later, support for the car should be built in; our card mounted automatically at /mnt/mmc

Ethernet

Since wifi was so easy to get working and provides the same functionality without wires, we haven't bothered to configure the ethernet adapter, but it probably works as advertised.
