Sabertooth2X10

The Sabertooth 2X10  is a dual-channel regenerative motor controller with a rating for 10 Amps of continuous draw. It is controlled like a standard R/C motor controller, which uses the same pulse signals as a typical servo, allowing us to use our 21-channel servo controller for two motors. The PWM is controlled with a 32 Khz oscillator, which is well above the range of human hearing, allowing for silent operation.

Regenerative-ness

Because the controller is regenerative, when the robot brakes or has enough momentum to move on its own (down a hill?) the power produced from the motor is put back into the battery. This works well for NiCd and NiMH and can noticeably increase battery life if your motors do a lot of braking.
